Graham Travis

Dan Pearson

Born into the same Ballard craftsman home his parents live in today, Graham recognizes the joy and benefit of having strong families and strong communities, and truly hopes that his work will be a valuable service to both in the Seattle area.
Graham is an alum of Trinity Western University in Langely, British Columbia.  Majoring in Biblical Studies and volunteering in numerous extra curricular capacities (youth prison, homeless outreaches, student government), he accumulated many rich experiences that helped form a dependable and fulfilling worldview:  To use his gifts to serve others with sincerity, honesty, and integrity, in any, and every situation.  And in essence, that is the foundation of GT Residential Contracting.
Graham spent several years learning various trades. He worked on concrete and framing crews throughout college, then, went on to painting, finish carpentry, tile and other remodeling crews, shortly after.  Through these experiences Graham learned that he was a good craftsman with an eye for detail, an even better problem solver, and a great communicator.  With these tools in his belt, he went on to start his own company, Graham Travis Contractor.  He specialized in small to medium sized remodel jobs, with a niche in the kitchen and bath market.  His commitment to impeccable quality, accurate pricing, and thorough communication generated more referrals than he could keep up with, so he began to hire craftsman and focused on building an infrastructure that could handle any sized job in the residential market, small, medium and large.
In the summer of 2008, Dan Pearson came on board in an ownership role and the company was renamed, GT Residential Contracting.  Placing the construction and field operations into Danny's skilled hands, Graham now focus' his full attention on the client experience.  From the first impression to the jobs final handshake and beyond, Graham is committed to giving each client the very best service around.
Dan received a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Washington. Following his graduation, he worked as a general field carpenter for several high end Seattle and Eastside builders. With a passion for expanding his knowledge and an obsession with doing things better, Dan returned to the University of Washington to complete a Construction Management Certificate.

Upon completion, he immediately entered the fast paced world of commercial construction. Dan was involved in managing projects ranging from $20,000 to $80,000,000, where accurate estimating, pre-construction planning and scheduling, budget management, and subcontractor coordination, are a necessity.

With a successful track record and a unique combination of arts, field carpentry, and project management experience, Dan has acquired a skill set that allows him to appreciate and engage in the entire remodel process, from concept, to planning, to a high quality finished product.

Dan works closely with each lead carpenter, project manager, and apprentice to instill a respect for the craft, a strong work ethic, sharp critical path skills, and sound safety procedures.  The result is a team of field carpenters and managers who know and implement a "better way", the GT Residential Way. The processes are the same whether it is a small On Call job or a 3,000 square foot renovation.  Details mean everything and client satisfaction is mandatory.

“I would definitely recommend GT Residential Contracting to my friends and family...and I have recommended [and used] them on many occasions already!  He and his team were very hard working and detail oriented in their full remodel of our kitchen, bathroom and basement.  We get compliments on their work all the time.  They’ve given us beautiful new living spaces and have helped us add a lot of value to our home.”
